While one isolated post is harmless; in fact, it is helpful. However, the slippery slope is my concern, and we've had precedents from the past where, once one agency starts posting, soon every other agency follows as well. We have seen advertisers making "just come by to say hi" posts, lengthy "apology" posts for trivial matters to show off their excellent customer service, "exciting announcement" posts, "helpful hints" posts, as well as replying to all posts remotely related to them. The essence of those posts are just thinly disguised ads, which each agency trying to one-up and out-do each other, and the end result is turning the discussion section into an extension of the advertising section. Therefore, the rule now is that advertisers (unless under exceptional circumstances & with prior approval from admin) are not allowed to post anywhere outside of designated advertising sections. This is for the long-run collective benefit of us all. Thank you for your cooperation.
