How to spot Sophisticated shills, writers and promoters?

Anyone who has been around since the inception of  review forums has witnessed the evolution from the traditional shill to very sophisticated promoters. The intent is still the same but the delivery and payback is less obtuse now. Step 1 Build Credibility: It usually starts off with prolific frequent reviews which develops a loyal fan base following. The sp and agency know the identity just on the review description alone. No words of bargaining required. Reviews is the currency. The reviews are never overly critical. Can't bite the hand that feeds you. The smarter ones will do a sacrificial lamb bad review to maintain optics of cred = girl refuses play the unspoken game Step 2 Build Alliances for rebuttal support : Trade pms and frequent post replies with like minded super and newbie hobbyists so when the time comes the entourage will beat down and drown out "the naysayers." The entourage follow each other so reinforcing reviews follow one another to drive optics of group consensus on the "star". Thus creating a hype halo effect like iPhone launches. Some of these bird brains are in it for the ride and don't know they are puppets to serve as a means to the end for the master. Or maybe they do ?
