MM whispers about clients

So in the past I have gathered anecdotal stories from mm about their views on customers.   They prefer Canadian born Asians and gweilos because they generally get treated with more respect. Versus for example mainlanders treat them like objects.      I think there may be some truth to these statements (because dim sum echo same). but I suspect it also has to do with language barrier and social skills to make someone feel at ease?
