Is it me ? But are their more kimchi vs dimsum?

This is unprecedented.  Before years ago kimchi a were exotic premium priced vs dim sum.  Now they are a commodity parity priCed with dim sums..    What's driving the kimchi a to flood the Toronto marketplace?    Thoughts?  Bad economy? Land of golden opportunity?
