Must Shower before BBBJ?

Title sums up my question...here are the details. This is the first time ever I repeated a girl after hubbying for about two years - couple times a month usually. When I saw her a month ago, we had great talks, decent bbbj, lfk...etc. But we did have a shower first. On my repeat, since we met before, we had even better talks and started in the room (so no shower until the end). She pulls back (I wouldn't say 100% refuse) on LFK, and only did CBJ. I kind of feel sad at that point...then once I got home, I started thinking back ... we didn't have a shower before we started, could that be why? Is that comment for mm? Oh I don't mind shower, we just didn't do it this time
